I honestly don’t know where to start. Today, the 4th of December 2015, Friday is a day I will never forget. I visited the 8th Battalion Government School in the Telangana Police 8th Battalion colony. This Battalion school is dedicated to the children of the constables, police and other important people who live in the colony.

I came here to assist ILP, or the India Literacy Program members with the mobile library initiative, that aims to help children achieve dreams through education. I was very close to tears at when I first glanced at the students. They were all merry and happy, playing around and enjoying, though they had to face tough times everyday. I started my session with a bang by introducing my self, and talked about the things that I liked such as my favorite cuisine and games, and encouraged them to do so too. The students spoke one by one, very energetically, which sent their, and my enthusiasm levels rocketing high. Next, I helped the ILP members  in distributing the books, and I spent a good hour and a half teaching them the basics of reading, and enhancing their reading skills.
